Pamela Larrabee

AzDHA President

For those of you who do not know me, my name is Pam Larrabee, and I am your new AzDHA President. I am so excited and honored to hold this position, and I hope I can fulfill the role as well as our past Presidents have.
As I sat and pondered what to write, I thought, what is one of the more important messages that your state association should share with its members and non-members? The first thing that came to mind was our appreciation for all you do.

Thank you to all members and non-members for choosing the dental hygiene profession. Without you, thousands of individuals would not be educated on the importance of oral health and overall health.

Thank you for all your volunteer hours, your research, educating future dental hygienists, and reaching out to underserved populations. Give yourselves a round of applause for making a difference.

Thank you to those who have volunteered many hours serving on the AzDHA Board of Directors; to the dedicated members who spend countless hours putting their talents to work on the task forces and committees. The Advocacy Committee advances and protects our scope of practice. Communications keep members and non-members informed. Membership grows our association’s voice, and Professional Development creates an amazing Impact Conference year after year.

Let us not forget our components: Central, East Valley, Northern, and Southern. They have been there to help support their constituent, but more importantly, they are the teams that offer CE credits, and fundraising options to members and non-members. Thank you to all who support your local components and to the members that keep the component running strong.

Lastly, but not any less important, is our ADHA team. Thank you for your support and guidance, for offering educational seminars to aid the success of constituents and their local Components.

Here’s to a great and bright future!!!
